on a lighter note, this video gets my vote for "best new thing"crossed with "a moment of Geek" with John Barrowman, Catherine Tate and David Tennant in a parody of a comedy song by Victoria Wood paying homage to Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardener. who brought Dr Who back to our screens.

I think I should state at this point that I am British, and I live in London. I watch TRMS and follow this blog to broaden my world view. IMHO American politics affect the politics in the rest of the world, so it's important, to me, to know what is going on there. now to your thesis:

from what is being reported here in the UK the riots are being fuelled by greed rather than politics.
